STEGOsaurus - Tryhackme

Introduction:
   Welcome to this writteup, this is a very very simple challenge,  because we
   just have to find the hidden message in the image embedded but in this case
   the message is in the same image. Have fun :)

  Steghide for hidden files.

   Using "steghide" we can see that there is a image in the first image we can see
   info about the first image to know if there are files in. And we can also extract
   those files with "steghide extract -sf [first image name]" like in the next header.

   Task 1 ("729785.jpg")

  Exctacting data with steghide.

   We've extract the image embedded in the first image with
   no password as passphrase just press enter and you will obtain the 
   image embedded but we did use "steghide" and "strings" even "exiftool" but
   we did found nothing so we can try adjust the exposure like the next image.

  Final flag.

 

    We have the flag visible in the image not as

  embedded files.
